Triclosan
The Formulation and Structure of This Ingredient are similar to some of the most toxic chemicals on earth. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) According to Dr. Katz is a Graduate of UCLA and the UCLA School of Dentistry and holder of a separate degree in Bacteriology, an ingredient that is known to dry out your mouth and cause canker sores. FD&C Blue Dye # 1 & 2 In the case report by Dr. Gaur, the degree of systemic absorption and safety of this dye in critically ill patients has not been studied. A patient with sepsis died after systemic absorption of FD&C blue dye No1. |

Hydrated Silica:
A whitener that damages tooth enamel. While this ingredient can remove tartar , they also do harm to dental health by altering the acidic balance of the mouth, gums and tongue,” said chairman Dr. Warren Scherer, New York University College of Dentistry. |
Sodium Fluoride
One of the main ingredients in rat and cockroach poison. According to Dr. Philip Sutton, author of "The Greatest Fraud: Fluoridation" sodium Fluoride accumulates in the body and contributes to bone disease. |

What are these ingredients ?
Sodium Laurel Sulfate
It is a harsh chemical that causes damage to the oral tissues lining the inside of your mouth.
For example, it is found in higher concentrations with industrial products including engine degreasers, floor cleaners, and car wash soaps. Would you allow your family to brush their teeth with engine degreaser? Should you have it in your mouth? It is up to you.
Triclosan
Dr. Stuart Levy, the director of the Center for Adaptation Genetics and Drug Resistance at Tufts University in Boston, states it should be categorized as a drug.
Triclosan is a chlorophenol, which is a class of chemicals that is suspected of causing cancer in humans. Externally, phenol can cause a variety of skin irritations, but since it can temporarily deactivate sensory nerve endings, contact with it may cause little or no pain.
FD&C Blue Dye # 1 & 2
In the case report by Dr. Gaur, the degree of systemic absorption and safety of this dye in critically ill patients has not been studied. A patient with sepsis died after systemic absorption of FD&C blue dye No1.
These dyes are artificial colorings often found in familiar toothpaste brands and a wide variety of other products. Recent studies indicate that FD & C Blue Dyes 1 & 2 can trigger a wide number of behavioral, learning, and health problems. FD&C color dyes may also cause potentially severe allergic reactions, asthma attacks, headaches, nausea, fatigue, nervousness, lack of concentration, and cancer.
Using FD & C Blue Dyes 1 & 2 is just like ingesting crude oil as it too, is synthesized from petroleum. These dyes were originally made from coal tar oil, which is a black, sticky tar by-product of steel making and petroleum distillation, and is a source of numerous complex chemicals.
Sodium Fluoride
One of the main ingredients in rat and cockroach poison. According to Dr. Philip Sutton, author of "The Greatest Fraud: Fluoridation" sodium Fluoride accumulates in the body and contributes to bone disease. Carcinogenic. Fluoride exposure disrupts the synthesis of collagen and leads to the breakdown of collagen in bone, muscle, skins, cartilage, lungs, kidney and trachea.
Hm...Interesting... So that is why my doctor said that my cartilage is low and prescribed me glucosamine and chondroitin. Well, I prefer to find the cause of it, rather then simply take pills. So here I have it. Too much sodium fluoride intake.
What else has sodium fluoride? The list is extensive. I will list a few: Fluoridated Tap water ( filters from Home Depot and Lowe's do not remove fluoride), Wine, Beer, most of the iced teas, soda etc.
Sodium fluoride is also a key component in anesthetic, hypnotic, and psychiatric drugs and SARIN NERVE GAS! It is a little known fact that fluoride compounds were added to the drinking water of prisoners to keep them quiet and to hamper noncompliance with authority, both in Nazi prison camps during World War II and in the Soviet gulags in Siberia.

Hydrated Silica
A whitener that damages tooth enamel.
While this ingredient can remove tartar , they also do harm to dental health by altering the acidic balance of the mouth, gums and tongue,” said chairman Dr. Warren Scherer, New York University College of Dentistry.
Tooth enamel re-mineralizes daily from the supply of ionic calcium and phosphorus in the saliva. Scratching the surface of the tooth with an abrasive such as hydrated silica harms the enamel and prevents re-mineralization, much like using sand to clean glass. Severe wear could eventually occur.
Products containing the ingredients silica and cellulose, in particular, should be avoided when gum disease, tooth decay, sensitivity and receding gums are present.
So, What is Organic Toothpaste
All right. So what is natural organic toothpaste? It's important to know that just because a product is sold at a natural foods store, it doesn't mean that its ingredients are all natural. In many of the "natural" toothpastes I tried, I found not-so-natural ingredients. Nearly all of the ones I reviewed contained Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. That's why you should check the ingredients on the box before purchasing.
I tried Tea Tree Therapy Toothpaste with Baking Soda. However, I found that it contains titanium dioxide that researches say is carcinogenic to humans.
Dessert Essence Natural Tea Tree Oil Toothpaste is another one I tried. It contains no harsh abrasives, synthetic sweeteners, or artificial flavors (though it does contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) - and it's fluoride-free.
Jason Healthy Mouth Plus CoQ10 Gel Toothpaste is considered to be a good one, but not on my list. It contains Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate - synthetic chemical ( to replace Sodium Lauryl Sulfate).
Tom’s of Maine is another popular "would like to be a natural" toothpaste. It's owned by Colgate and far from natural as they try to present.
So, the best organic natural toothpaste that I found is
Cilantro Mint Toothpaste (75ml) Green Beaver Brand: Green Beaver Green Beaver is a Canadian based company; started by a married couple whose inspiration for truly natural products was their son.
The toothpaste contains NO fluoride, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (which was very hard to find), artificial flavors or dyes, chemical preservatives, parabens, chemical whiteners or animal products.
And the best part also is that it is safe to swallow in case of accidental swallowing and thus is perfect for kids!
