How a Dime Can Save 250 Dollars
Nowadays everyone seem to be talking about money saving. It is a skill, I must say. You can start small. Today I will give you a simple example on how 10 cents can save you $250.
So, my Godfather has a townhouse. He has a little area around the backyard where he planted some flowers. One day he was at Home Depot and saw a tomato plant on clearance for a dime. That's right -10 cents for a tomato :) He decided to buy it and plant it on his backyard and see if it survives.

Well. Little he knew that this 10 cent investment will turn out to be a $250 savings over the course of three months. The tomato started giving fruits ( yes , tomato is a fruit ) beginning July 15th. The average harvest was about 2 tomatoes a day. He was excited that he did not have to spend money on tomatoes anymore as it was enough tomatoes for him. Usually my godfather buys tomatoes once a week. He pays a round $4 a pound - 4 pounds a week $16. So roughly he spends about $64 a month. He purchased this tomato in May and he had his first tasty tomatoes on July 15th. So, in the course of four months he will end up saving around $250. At this time he still has about 40 tomatoes on the bush. |
His total investment was :
a. 10 cents for a tomato
b. Cow manure for $1.49.
So, there you have it folks. How a dime could save you $250.
So, as you can see such a small thing as a tomato can make a huge difference in your budget. $250 you could find somewhere else to spend.
So, why to waste valuable spots for flowers and decorative plants ? Simply plant something that gives you produce and you can save money, eat healthier food and at the end of the day - you know exactly what you put in that tomato.
I forgot to say that the taste is totally different. It is always much better to eat your own grown tomato then the one purchased in the grocery store.
He is very happy with the savings and already contemplating next season "widening" of the garden - perhaps planting some carrots and other vegetables. Why not to plant an apple tree? Aren't you tired from "pretty -waxed" apples that are offered at your neighbourhood grocery store ? I did an experiment.
I received a present during Christmas time - one of those "Frankenstein " apples ( I call them because they look too good and my grandfather has taught me that Appearance is Deceitful . I left the apple to see just how much time it would last. I could not believe, but it was something like six months and nothing happened to it :) Makes you wonder what they put in it to last such a long time.

So, if you are caught up trimming worthless grass day and night, consider planting the garden - at least potatoes - that is the easiest thing to do.
Here is a video of the man in Australia planting potatoes and you don't have to dig, water or weed them out. Watch this 2 min video of planting with the harvest report. |

This book links the Chakras to real body parts-the seven endocrine centres - and explains the reasons why these "hot spots" are so important.
Not everyone of us has all seven chakras up and running; if you do, you are an ascended master!
