Building Site November 13 2008
This is the land that we cleared for a building site. So far it is untouched. The contractor - Ken and his family lives in vicinity. It will be beneficial for them, since they do not live far away from the building site and it is good for us since they can keep an eye on what is happening. Sometimes people steal materials. Hopefully, that will not happen. I will update you on the progress.
First week November 21, 2008
Horse shoe was not in the contact that we signed with building team. It is good that there is no charge for it. :) We did not realize how steep is the building site until the beams where in.
December 02, 2008
The progress is vivid. The first floor is coming here. The weather is being good to us so far allowing to advance according to the proposed schedule.
December 04, 2008
Rainy weather has been keeping us from advancing. There has been some confusion on which side the sliding doors and windows are going, but we were able to clarify it. The building team had only one complaint that there is no supervisor. They want us to provide pretty women for supervision purposes, so the work can be completed faster.
The guy on the picture is Justin. He has taught us to chew the pine needles. He explained that it is a natural remedy for a heartburn. I researched more about pine needles. It is funny that nature put such a great remedy free of charge for humans to use. I devoted the whole page on usage of pine tree needles. He also was able to identify cedar tree on the property. We are excited as we do know that those trees possess very good energy. Today I jumped on the floor to test how stable it was. I was not able to see any movements. We put pressure treated beams and unfortunately some concrete.
December 6, 2008
The frames are in. It looks scary high. We did not think that the building will sit that high in the air. On the back it will be 3 sliding doors. Since we opted out of electricity, we need plenty of light.
