Adsmoke review
I came across AdSmoke and decided to write a review on it.
AdSmoke was born out of the desire to help web site owners monetize their embedded Youtube inventory and to help advertisers with low cost video ad distribution.
Simply put, as a web site owner you can earn income by placing a 5-15 second pre-roll commercial in front of their embedded YouTube content. Video advertisement is somewhat untapped market and we will see soon the battle for this.
So if you are a website owner (publisher) and have YouTube videos embedded on your site - Adsmoke is for you.
If you do not have YouTube videos embedded on your site, perhaps you need to think about implementing as it could generate great revenue ( Adsmoke is promising 65% ads profit payed to website owner).
How do I start making money with Adsmoke ?
1. Sigh up with AdSmoke.
2. Click on Beacon. Copy HTML code and post it on your home page ( this is so Adsmoke can know how much traffic you have so when it goes live ( currently in beta version) they will serve you ads. You can put it in the footer.
3. Click on "Get Code". Here you are asked to "Copy YouTube Code " ( get if from YouTube). Paste it there.
Click "Get Code" in Adsmoke . Adsmoke will give you different HTML code to post on your site. Once you paste new code given by Adsmoke - publish your site and click on your embedded YouTube video to play.

Right now Adsmoke is running in beta version so it is free to sign up for their publisher program.
You can do it here. After launch, AdSmoke pays 65% of collected ad revenue to their publishers.
As an AdSmoke beta publisher, you will show random pre-roll commercial ads in front of your embedded Youtube content. Rankings are as follows:
Beta is expected to run until December 2011. Note: Publishers will NOT be compensated monetarily during the beta. However, I suggest you register early so Adsmoke can gather all the necessary information about your traffic and provide you with relevant ads. |
