Fasting Diary 11/03/2008

All right. Time has come...

I invite you on the journey...
For the next 7 days I will have nothing but water and diluted fruit juice .  At the same time there will be no smoking or drinking for the next seven days . There will be no food to eat.  This is an experiment for me.  I will post my thoughts and feelings.  I welcome you to share your experience if any in fasting. So let the 7 Day Fast begin...

Day 1

Life is interesting... Back in time I worked with drug addicts in Norconon and I found dirty old book in garage when I was clearing it out from junk. I started it reading it...and....

...This book entirely changed my life. I thought if a student from Berkeley  can fast for 7 days I can do the same thing.   So here is the link to the book that was a direct cause of my fasting diary in case if you want to read

Today is the first day - September 2nd 2008.
I had to work today so it was interesting. Upon arrival to work I prepared  hot green tea. Ended up throwing up in the toilet. Decided not to include green tea in fasting.  :)  Green tea is powerful antioxidant so,  that is why I had a little accident.

Update 2012 February : I just released my book :" Why Am I Alone or The Secret Key to Happiness."  - fasting had a great influence on the way I think.

My toxic body, full of various trash that I accumulated for 27 years eating without thinking if it is healthy or not.  Diluted orange juice will be the replacement for the tea. By launch my coworkers have started micro waving things and that send me a really hard signal for hunger. I withstood and left the store for a fresh air.

Once I got home I went to the park to run a little. I felt a little weak, but I said to myself that this was part of the purification process (first it gets bad before it gets good). After park I took another shower and spent some time on the Internet to read about fasting. A little later my whole body started itching...

I knew that when I stop eating my organism will direct all i'ts energy on getting rid of toxins rather then digesting foods ... I went to the store and purchased body scrub and some Japanese sea salt to take a bath.  I filled up the tub, addded some salt and rested there for awhile.

It helped to sooth the itching. So I did body scrub and took a last shower (as I thought it was a last shower).  I could not sleep. I sweat, and sweat and sweat. It was too hot for me plus I had a feeling that bugs are biting my whole body.   I jumped couple of times and turned on the light just to see if there were any bugs in my bed.   There was nothing. I realized that fasting could be more difficult since it's a drastic change to the habit. Here I smoke and drink and eat and then...nothing... I took final shower at 3 am and went to bed. I was sleeping closer to 4 am.          Day 2>   Day 3>  Day 4>  Day 5>  Day 6>  Day 7>
