Raw Food Diet
Day 2We noticed that we required less sleep. At 8 am in the morning we were up and ready to go,
while we went to bed at 1 am. I woke up with the feeling of pain in both kidneys : detox had started, so I am happy. Sharp pain in kidneys continues the whole day. My wife reported the overall weakness and irritation. Delayed reaction was observed through the day.
Some moments we had cravings about cooked food, but they did not last that long. Fresh fruit helps it to go away. |
Today our food was: blueberries, gooseberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, plums, orange, raw nuts.
This is what our refrigerator looks like :) Some watermelon and honeydew .

Question and Answer
Tomato is red because of Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant.
Next time you buy a tomato, think about this : people who eat tomatoes have a lower risk of acquiring vascular diseases such as heart attack and stroke, compared to people who do not eat tomatoes.
Tomato contains such medicinal properties as beta-carotene, vitamins, potassium, and most importantly, the tomato's red pigment "lycopene", a powerful antioxidant.
- Lycopene prevents oxidation of cholesterol by eliminating free radicals by its strong antioxidant, which also prevents the clogging of blood vessels.
- Lycopene has been known to be effective in preventing liver cancer and also helps eliminate free radicals in the brain.
- Tomatoes potassium lowers blood pressure by effectively eliminating excess sodium in the body.
- More and more research appears to show that lycopene assists the immune system in protecting the body from illness.
Harvesting Prescription DrugsJust remember, that nothing can replace REAL Fruit - tomato. While lycopene supplements are becoming more popular, isolating one element destroys the overall benefit of it.
So your goal should be Food from the Nature's table. If you don't see pharmacutical bootles growing on the trees, that it is NOT natural :) |
So, in your Raw Food Diet , tomato is "thy medicine," and lycopene is one of its powerful constituencies.
While I suggest buying organic tomatoes, consider planting your own tomato. This will be the only true organic tomato.

Last year we planted one in our cabin in North Georgia mountains. At times we go there only once in two weeks. We had awesome harvest: the best tomatoes we ever had. We did not add any chemicals and it turned out great. The taste of your own tomato can not be compared with store tomato.
